This dataset is from a research conducted by the Open Sourcing Mental Illness (OSMI) website. OSMI is a non-profit corporation dedicated to raising awareness, educating, and providing resources to support mental wellness in the technology and open source communities. This dataset is from an online survey on mental health in the technology industry conducted last 2014 and still ongoing. Currently, it was over 1200 respondents which is the largest survey done on mental health in the technology industry.

This dataset is a collection of respondents from around the world who are currently working in the technology industry. This was initiated by Ed Finkler, the chairman of Open Sourcing Mental Illness, who continues to gather data and organize efforts to change experiences of those with mental health disorders in the tech workplace. This survey was conducted to create documentation to assist companies in making supportive environments for those impacted by mental health disorders.
