Description
Strong evidence supports high applicability, but low quality of advanced imaging for dislocation, deep infection leading to reoperation, periprosthetic fracture leading to reoperation and early aseptic loosening leading to reoperation in the management of hip fracture in the elderly.
However, dislocation, infection, hematoma, seroma, perioperative fracture and mortality outcomes in hip fractures for the elderly shows moderate quality, applicability and strength of evidence in terms of the use of advanced imaging in the management of hip fractures in the elderly.
