Description
This dataset includes data on people which is one of the global highlights on the six themes of World Development Indicators. People, which showcases indicators covering education, health, jobs, social protection, and gender and provides a portrait of societal progress across the world.
This dataset is part of the primary World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially-recognized international sources. It presents the most current and accurate global development data available and includes national, regional and global estimates.
World Development Indicators includes data spanning up to 56 years—from 1960 to 2016. World view frames global trends with indicators on population, population density, urbanization, GNI, and GDP. As in previous years, the World view online tables present indicators measuring the world’s economy and progress toward improving lives, achieving sustainable development, providing support for vulnerable populations, and reducing gender disparities.
