Description
This time-series dataset is from the data catalog of the World Bank. Information from this dataset provides data on the Service Delivery Indicators program which is an application of the principles of the 2004 World Development Report Making Services Work for Poor People.
The Service Delivery Indicators (SDI) project collects nationally representative data focusing mainly on education and health specifically performance and quality of service delivered by primary schools and frontline health facilities. This project is conducted by the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and the African Economic Research Consortium. The program seeks to reposition the dialogue on human development in Africa within the context of the effectiveness of public spending and accountability for service delivery. Because of the global economic situation, taxpayers demand accountability for public resources and for the efficient use of public resources and budget allocations to education and health particularly by developing country governments.
