We’re very excited to announce the program of the first NLP Summit conference for the fast-growing applied natural language processing community.
The NLP Summit is an industry-wide free online conference starting Tuesday, October 6th. While there are several excellent academic NLP conferences, there isn’t one for the community of practitioners – until now. The themes of each of the four main days of the conference are Trends & Best Practices, Open Source Libraries, NLP in Healthcare, and Conversational AI.
The NLP Summit Program includes over 30 unique sessions from industry leaders including:
- Janna Lippenkova, Founder & CEO at Anacode
- Clément Delangue, CEO of HuggingFace
- Kira Radinsky, ChairWoman & Chief Technology Officer at Diagnostic Robotics
- Marco Ribeiro, Microsoft Resarch, ACL 2020 Best Paper Award author

- Ganesh Thodikulam, Executive Director at Kaiser Permanente
- Catherine Havasi, Founder & CEO at Luminoso Technologies
- Piero Molino, ML/NLP Research Scientist at Stanford University
Additional confirmed speakers are from Google, Intel, Freshworks, DocuSign, Thomson Reuters, HealthJoy, Basis Technology, IDEXX Labs, Outreach.io, and others. The program includes over 40 speakers covering the diversity of use cases, technologies, industries, and organizations where NLP is successfully applied today.
John Snow Labs speakers will include creators and current leads of Spark NLP – including David Talby, Maziyar Panahi, Mykola Melnyk, and Veysel Kocaman. The team will also conduct beginner to advanced training workshops with certifications in the second week of the conference.

Free registration is required to secure access to the keynotes, sessions, Q&A with speakers, content, and hackathon. Over 5,000 people, of which two-thirds are practicing data scientists & engineers and a third are decision-makers, are expected to attend.
